1. Information We Collect

When you install Describo: AI Copywriter & SEO, we access specific store information required to provide our automated copywriting and SEO optimization services:

• Merchant & Store Data: Store name, myshopify.com domain, primary language, and primary contact email.
• Product Catalog Data: Product titles, descriptions, vendor tags, options, variants, handle, and product image URLs.
• End-Customer Data (Buyers): We do NOT track, collect, store, or process Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of your end-customers or store visitors.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information exclusively to generate AI product descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and multi-language translations. Product details and image URLs are securely transmitted to OpenAI APIs for text generation and image vision analysis. We do not use your store data to train public AI models.

3. Data Retention and Uninstallation

We retain your store settings and cached generation metadata as long as the application remains installed. Upon uninstallation, we receive Shopify's mandatory app/uninstalled webhook and permanently purge all stored access tokens, shop credit records, and store data from our databases within 48 hours.

4. GDPR and Privacy Compliance

In full compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and Shopify App Store guidelines, we implement mandatory data privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because we do not store customer personal data, any redaction request automatically confirms zero held customer records.

5. Third-Party Services

We use OpenAI for AI text and vision generation, and Shopify for authentication, billing, and store data access. Your data is processed in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our Data Processing Agreements where applicable.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts that collect personal data. We use Sentry solely for error monitoring and performance tracking, which does not include store visitor data.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure database connections, access token encryption, and least-privilege API scopes. All credentials are stored as environment variables and never committed to source control.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@plintik.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date will be revised accordingly, and continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
